Theory of Constraints is a way to understand how organizations and systems work. Simply put, the constraint determines the output of the whole organization. TOC was invented by Eliyahu Goldratt, a physicist who later became a global management consultant. In this course, we will explain how TOC is built on a philosophy and culture of logical thinking and can be applied in many ways to systematically bring breakthroughs in our work or ministry.
Intro: There will be a recorded lecture of about 10–20 minutes introducing the topic at hand. Reflection Questions: You will be provided several reflection questions to note your responses and questions to the ideas that were just shared.Group Discussions: You will watch a video of the instructor and a group of students discussing the ideas that were shared. Good Understanding of TOC: Through this course, you will get a good understanding of TOC and the significance it has for understanding our work and organization. Philosophy of Problem Solving: You will learn a philosophy of problem solving that will help us to tackle solutions well without making compromises.Applicable Tools: There will also be applicable tools that will help you map out strategy, clarify your outcomes, resolve conflict and navigate change.New Way of Thinking: We have designed this course so that you will come out of it with a whole new way of thinking and viewing the world and so that you will feel confident in your management and innovation.
